Your child isn’t necessarily misbehaving. They're behaving like a child with a body needing support would.

Hi, I'm Sabrina Novoa,
Holistic Behavior Specialist

Your child's behavior (what you can see) is almost always a reflection of what's happening inside (what no one sees, but everyone feels). One of those "things" you cannot see is their nervous system state. And once you learn even just a little bit about how nervous system states can impact behavior . . . behavior that has felt impossible to improve can begin to transform.

When aggression, tantrums, property destruction, withdrawal, rigidity, or explosive reactions have become part of everyday family life — or any other behavior your child engages in that has become more than you know how to handle — chronic stress is living in the home, too.And you, the parent living alongside the behavior, is almost always carrying an enormous load of stress. ❤️‍🩹

As the oft speaker of hard truths, I have several for you:If you're like most parents (me 10+ years ago), you want a quick fix and you want to focus on your child's behavior, not yours. This class won't deliver a quick fix because there is no quick fix out there. There's no fix because no one is broken. This masterclass will name and demystify the cycles of stress you're all looping in — the ones you're all living in without your conscious awareness. When we name these loops and you start giving yourself the support you need (something I will also be sharing in the masterclass), behavior can start to change in both subtle and big ways.

Some of the behaviors I help with:

  • Big reactions to small changes or demands... like when you say "no" or you ask them to stop doing something

  • Insisting things be done exactly their way, trying to control family routines, needing to win every game, getting upset if plans change, or demanding specific foods, cups, or clothing

  • Destroying toys or household items

  • Arguing about everything, ignoring you completely, or negotiating endlessly

  • Aggression... like hitting, kicking, pushing, and throwing things

  • Physical impulsivity... like pushing or bumping into people, climbing furniture or unsafe places, darting away in public places, grabbing toys from other children

  • Verbal, emotional, social, and decision impulsivity... like doing things immediately without considering consequences and saying “no” instantly and refusing to reconsider

  • Feeling like nothing you try works. That feeling can lead you to engage in behaviors you might later regret. I've been there. ❤️‍🩹

These are my "babies" (now 27 and 22) and the reason I do this work. When they were itty bitty, I didn't know that the home I grew up in (with all of the disconnection, chaos, and unmet needs) would become almost exactly the home I would raise them in.
Now, I know. And now I teach other parents to end the cycles.
